In June last year, the European Parliament adopted Matic's report, which called for abortion to become a universal right and to reduce conscientious objection. The result of such and other similar actions is catastrophic - 42.6 million abortions have been performed worldwide in 2021, reports Worldmeter.info, which measures real-time data on global phenomena of all kinds.
Let's look at the causes of death worldwide in 2021:
Infectious diseases - 13 million
Cancer - 8.2 million
Smoking - 5 million
COVID-19 - 3 million
AIDS - 1.7 million
Road accidents - 1.3 million
Suicides - 1.1 million
These are frightening facts that testify to the monstrosity of the complete corruption of human nature.
Colossians 2: 1-2
“And revive you when you were dead through your transgressions and sins,
2 in which ye once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit which now works in the sons of disobedience;"
In addition, countries such as Benin, Mexico, Laos, Gabon and San Marino have allowed abortions in 2021, while France is vigorously discussing extending the weeks of pregnancy in which abortions are possible.
The shedding of innocent blood brings a curse, but the good news is that Christ became the curse on our behalf (Galatians 3:13). Turning into a curse, the execution of Jesus on the cross is God's merciful and just statement that what defiles the earth, namely our sin, is placed on the one in whom there was no sin, that by believing in this execution our hearts can to be directed to God and thus, the curse to be removed. Christ became the curse that was to defile the earth. Due to his resurrection from the dead, the earth could not hold him. His sacrifice is perfect, and His righteousness does not justify those who deserve condemnation, but will receive the crown of righteousness through faith in Him. As Christians, we must be called to fight and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Our victory is in Christ, Who offered Himself for sin, so that everyone who has repented of his sins and trusted in the Son of God may have eternal life and forgiveness. This bloody war will be won in only one way - the proclamation of the gospel that breeds and makes fallen sinners into new creatures in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17).
Let us pray that God will give us the courage and wisdom to evangelize and exalt the Holy Name of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ! Amen.
Colossians 1: 5-6
“5 Your faith and love are born of your hope, and everything you hope for awaits you in heaven. This is what you heard for the first time through the word of truth - the Good News,
6 which reached you. It spreads throughout the world, bears fruit, and continues to spread as it has with you, since the day you heard about the grace of God and understood the truth about it.”
