Those who are on the side of life have fallen into the category of wanting our message to be more enjoyable for an unbelieving world. This simply will not end such a horrific atrocity as the Holocaust of the innocent in our land. God simply will not honor a battle that does not honor His Word. Unfortunately, our society considers the use of biblical language to be "hate speech." Many Christians respond to this topic in such a way that they agree with this premise. They are ashamed that God in His Word places this sin in the category of abomination. Such a position is considered useless, insensitive and offensive. To understand the need to properly look at children's sacrifices the way God does, we need to understand that his origins are ancient, and that his ancestor is what the Bible calls our greatest adversary.
" 1. And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, standing on the moon, and having a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and screaming in pain as she began to give birth.
3 Then another sign appeared in the sky - a huge red dragon with seven heads, ten horns and seven tiaras - one on each of its heads. 4 His tail dragged a third of the stars in the sky and threw them to the ground. The dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth because he wanted to eat her child as soon as she was born. 5 She bore a boy, a son destined to rule all nations with an iron rod. However, her child was snatched away and taken to God and his throne. ”Revelation 12: 1-5
From Genesis to Revelation, the great cosmic conflict of history can be summarized as: The seed of the woman versus the seed of the serpent. As the Apostle John points out, the purpose of the Dragon is to interrupt the work of Christ. This enemy with whom a woman's offspring must be at enmity is the one who has been a murderer from the beginning (John 8:44). His murderous rage is first seen in Eden, where our first parents sinned and immersed all mankind in the curse of the Fall. Even in the midst of such betrayal, God proclaims the first gospel and the triumph of the woman's offspring over the serpent's child (Genesis 3:15). This is where the conflict between Christ and Satan is declared. It is the war of the two seeds that determines the war of history from beginning to end. The serpent is at war with the woman and her offspring (Christ) and is obsessed with either preventing the Messiah from being born or killing him when he finally comes into the world.
It was under the inspiration of the serpent that Cain committed the first murder against his righteous brother Abel in an attempt to destroy the righteous seed (Genesis 4:25). We then observe the preservation of Noah and his family from the corruption of Seth's descendants and the condemnation of the flood sent to destroy the wicked (Genesis 6: 1-12). The theme continues through the patriarchs in the story of the children of Israel in Egypt, where Pharaoh commanded the execution of the firstborn men (Exodus 1). Five hundred years later, we see the devil's work inspiring Saul's persecution of David to destroy the messianic seed (1 Samuel 18: 10-11). With the help of Queen Esther, the nation of Israel escaped extermination by the wicked prince Haman (Esther 3: 9), saving the Jewish people and securing the line of the coming king. But perhaps the clearest example of the siege of the Seed is seen in the constant temptation of the people of Israel to kill their own children and offer them to demons (Leviticus 18:21, Psalm 106: 37-38). In the case of the New Testament, we see the attempts of the jealous, bloodthirsty King Herod to cut off the King of Kings by killing the first fruits of Bethlehem (Matthew 2: 13-18). Not only at the birth of Christ, but throughout his earthly ministry, the serpent tried to stop Jesus through temptation (Luke 4: 1-13), demonic oppression (John 13: 2), and the climax of the crucifixion. However, the Bible tells us that our Savior was betrayed according to God's plan (Acts 4: 27-28) and that He set an example for rulers and authorities by exposing them to open shame, triumphing over them in His completeness. victory on the cross (Colossians 2: 14-15).
Scripture clearly states that the reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3: 8). The purpose of tracing the biblical conflict between the Seed of the Woman and the Seed of the Serpent is to show that abortion is the surest work of the devil, whose head was decisively crushed by the One whose heel hurt. Therefore, the task of every Christian born of the imperishable seed (1 Peter 1:23) is to wage war against social evils such as abortion. As we participate in this cosmic conflict, we conform to the image of Christ, protecting the bearers of the image of God from the one who would strike the Heavenly Family (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) by striking the earthly family first through abortion. The snake's mission is to eliminate any possibility of a second birth. The electoral tactic to achieve its goal is to eradicate the first birth. Do not be deceived that the killing of the unborn is an enemy, but it is an enemy that Christ will put under his feet. He who casts the power of the Serpent will give us the strength to end the abortion and put an end to his notorious scourge once and for all.
